Mélodie and Florent celebrated their destination wedding in Marrakech, the exotic capital of Morocco. Morocco has become increasingly popular as a wedding destination, for many reasons, but some of them would be for its mixture between tradition and modernity, for the great variety of landscapes it offers, for its excellent climate, very similar to that of cities in southern Spain, such as Malaga, Seville or Cadiz; for its gastronomy and for its many similarities with Mediterranean cities.

All this has made it one of the favorite places among Americans and Europeans to celebrate their destination weddings with an exotic touch. And it has not only become popular among couples, but also for professionals like us, because being a wedding videographer in Morocco is incredible.

Marrakech, one of the most attractive cities for wedding videographers in Morocco

Mélodie and Florent celebrated a three-day wedding that took place in different parts of Marrakech (among them, the famous Beldi Country Club hotel). On the first day, Mélodie had organized her bachelorette party with all her bridesmaids and that's where we first met the bride. It's very special, as wedding videographers, when we are contacted by a couple from another part of the world to have their destination wedding in another country. After talking for months, you find yourself there. We come from Spain, they are traveling from France, and you are giving yourself a hug in the middle of El Palmeral in Marrakech. It's really amazing. Besides, one of our dreams was to record a wedding video in Morocco.

The Palm Grove of Marrakech is the ideal place to ride a camel if you are not going to make an excursion to the desert. That is why the bride, accompanied by all her bridesmaids, organized a one-hour camel ride while we went by her side documenting everything for the wedding video. Then we went to her private villa, where they were dancing, swimming in the pool, and then they finished with a typical Moroccan dinner: chicken and beef tajine, vegetable couscous, salad... and to finish the famous Moroccan tea, something that can never be missing at a wedding in Morocco.

Pre-wedding in the desert or camel trip, star activities for your wedding video in Morocco

The next day we met the bride and groom and all their wedding guests in the Agafay Desert. The Agafay Desert, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, is a land of Berbers where the plants that produce argan oil grow. A beautiful place that is very close to the city of Marrakech. They chose this desert to welcome all their guests for a luxury dinner at the Agafay Luxury Camp, an oasis in the middle of the desert. As wedding videographers in Morocco, it is a must to visit this place.

This Luxury Camp offers a luxury experience in an isolated environment, far from the mass tourism of the souk of Marrakech, with a beautiful typical Moroccan decoration: carpets, cushions and wrought iron lamps. For us it is a perfect place to celebrate a pre-wedding or a luxury wedding with an exotic touch.

The dinner consisted of a buffet of typical Moroccan food in one of the tents while listening to live Gnawa music. After dinner, they lit a bonfire while the guests around the fire smoked the shisha or simply watched the stars. After the bonfire, all the guests threw flying lanterns into the sky, a ritual that we found precious for a wedding in Morocco, very similar to the ritual that is also done in weddings in Thailand, Vietnam or Asian countries. And something precious to capture for the wedding video.

An elegant destination wedding with a touch of French chic

On the wedding day in Marrakech we started filming in the Villa Du Lac, the luxury villa a few kilometers from the capital of Morocco that the bride and groom had chosen to stay during the wedding days. The villa is simply spectacular, besides having a typical Moroccan decoration, it was surprising to see the similarities with the luxury villas that are rented by couples who celebrate weddings in destinations in southern Italy such as Tuscany, Capri or Naples.

As destination wedding videographers, whenever we arrive at a new place we start recording the details, which will be the great protagonists of the wedding video: the bride's dress, the shoes, the groom's suit, the wedding invitations... and any beautiful detail of the house they have chosen to spend the days of their wedding.

The ceremony was held outdoors in a spectacular location overlooking a lake. And the banquet at the spectacular Beldi Country Club HotelThe Beldi Country Club has been built to resemble a Moroccan village, with its narrow alleys, shady courtyards and riads, so it feels like you are in the middle of Marrakech, walking through its souks.

Weddings at the Beldi Country Club in Marrakech are usually elegant, chic weddings with a touch of bohemian glamour. Mélodie and Florent's was no exception. During the cocktail party, there was a beautiful fire show, something we love to capture for the wedding video. The entrance to the banquet with the bride and groom dancing along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, followed by a quiet dinner in the banquet hall, which has a spectacular Arab decoration. To finish, a big party in the same hall, with Arab and international music, all very exotic. Come on, a dream celebration for wedding videographers in Morocco.
